US Rep. Lujan encourages support for innovation, infrastructure
New Mexico needs to invest in support for innovation in all parts of the economy, even agriculture, Congressman Ben Ray Lujan told KNME after addressing a joint session of the New Mexico state Legislature Monday. Lujan also said he will introduce a bill in Congress that would help the state build infrastructure for electric and natural gas vehicles.
Lujan said he wants to help the state compete in the national economy through a “New Mexico Competes” agenda, presumably part of the regional innovation initiatives included in the America COMPETES Act, passed by Congress in December.
